Recruitment

At Providence, compassionate care, teaching and research form a continuous cycle of excellence. We are committed to translating new research findings into the care we provide every day. Guided by a strong tradition of social justice and compassion, Providence is known for our work in caring for our society’s most vulnerable — people who are elderly, those with chronic conditions, people with a mental illness and those who don’t have the means to take good care of themselves – following the rich legacy of the founding Catholic Sisters of Providence, who believed that no one in need should be turned away. This tradition is what separates Providence from other health providers and what attracts our workforce to us. If this vision resonates with you, consider joining the Providence Health Care team!

Our service area includes all of British Columbia, with our downtown teaching hospital, St. Paul’s, forming the cornerstone of our care, treatment and research programs. Almost 9,000 people work at our 16 sites including 6,000 staff, 1,200 physicians/medical staff and researchers, and 1,600 volunteers.
