Patient and Family-Centred Care

Providence Health Care is committed to patient and family centered care at all our sites and programs. Patient and family centred care is an approach to the planning, delivery and evaluation of health care that is grounded in mutually beneficial partnerships among health care providers, the people we serve and their families.

We know that to continue providing the best care experience, and to successfully address ever-increasing complexities and future service challenges, we need to work closer than ever with patients, residents and families.

The Professional Practice Office is committed to developing and implementing policies and practices that support the continued participation and collaboration with all of the patients and families served by Providence Health Care. We can also assist areas with specific projects or needs related to Patient and Family Centred Care. The Care Experience strategy and Patient and Family Centred Care is foundational to the work of Professional Practice.

Interested in becoming a Partner in Care? PHC is recruiting Patient and Family Partners to make the care we provide even better. Visit our Patient and Family Partners website for more information.
